Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Bob Marley has his name marked in this world. Not only did he recognize and share reggae around the globe, but he also brought individuals together to promote a peaceful state of mind. His legacy will now continue to live on, as his 75th birthday celebration consists of a brand new 12-part mini-documentary series, Legacy.
The Legacy series came out with its first episode on Friday, February 28th. The series includes a collection of intimate conversations with Marley’s family, friends, and fans. It takes you through the wonderful journey through Marley’s life, legacy, and relevance that he still holds for fans.
The first episode starts off with Ziggy Marley in a cozy, neutral tone room. He talks about how Bob Marley led such a powerful and incredible movement for music and peace. The impact he held still uplifts individuals in this chaotic world that can seem troublesome. The following quotes you can hear include, “Life is worth much more than gold,’; “So much trouble in the world,”; and “My richness is life… forever.” He encourages us to live our lives full of respect and love for each other.
Up to today, the 21st century, Bob Marley is one of the most influential and inspiring individuals ever known to mankind. His music created a legacy that influences today’s reggae music and humanitarianism around the world. As a posthumous celebrity, he still holds an extremely high social media following, with over 70-million fans on Facebook. Throughout his career, Marley sold millions of records worldwide, along with holding an everlasting position on Billboard’s Catalog Albums chart. In 1994, he entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with winning a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2001 and earning a spot in the ASCAP Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. As a rewarding musician, he is still recognized as a legend in music and peacemaking.

That being said, Ziggy and Stephen Marley will be celebrating Bob’s legacy by headlining this year’s BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, CA, May 1-3rd. They will also perform at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on May 31st. Other shows include performances in Vienna, VA and Brooklyn, NY.
