The Best Vegan Beauty Products on the Market

Published on February 19, 2020

Vegan beauty is the latest step forward in taking better care of ourselves, animals, and the environment. There are so many products out there that can help you look good without being harmful. Here are some of the best vegan beauty products out there right now to help you be your best self.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I have been a faithful customer of Jeffree Star cosmetics for years, in part because the brand is proudly vegan and cruelty-free. Unlike many other brands, every single product on the website is vegan so you can shop freely.

The brand’s philosophy on their animal-friendly products is simple: “Makeup is for humans, not animals. We have also researched our manufacturers and know 100% they don’t affiliate or get ingredients from places that are not cruelty-free!”

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks are the only liquid lips I use. They’re the best liquid lips on the market, vegan or otherwise. They come in a variety of shades, whether your style is wild, metallic, a bold red, or more neutral. The lipsticks stay put for hours and they’re comfortable on the lips. These lipsticks are proof that vegan beauty doesn’t have to mean sacrificing quality

My personal favorite shade, Celebrity Skin, is currently sold out, but Jeffree Star Cosmetics restocks often.

Each lipstick sells for $18 Dollars.

Milani is a great affordable makeup brand with an extensive vegan makeup collection

The best and most popular vegan product Milani offers is the Baked Blush. My favorite shade is Rosa Romantica for a subtle, natural flush, but there are 11 different shades to choose from if that’s not quite your style. The blush blends out super easily and with all those fabulous shades, not to mention no harm to animals, what more could you want in a blush?

The Baked Blush is $7.99 on the Milani website.

Urban Decay

Urban Decay is a cult-favorite makeup brand that produces the famous Naked eyeshadow palettes. Unfortunately, those are not vegan, but there is plenty of other great products from them that are. Urban Decay is another company with a handy vegan tab on its website to make finding vegan products super easy.

Urban Decay has “an ongoing initiative with our laboratories to not only create shades (and entire product lines) that are vegan from the start, but also to identify which of our non-vegan products can be converted. In many situations, plant-derived or synthetic alternatives to animal-derived ingredients become available. As long as we can deliver the same high-quality products with rich color and texture, we will convert that product to 100% vegan ingredients, so be on the lookout for new offerings.”

Their bestselling All-Nighter Setting Spray is one of their completely vegan products. Just a couple of spritzes of this stuff before you walk out the door will make your make-up stay on all day or night.

The jumbo size is $42, but there are smaller sizes available for less.

Too Faced

Too Faced is another fantastic brand that offers some really amazing vegan products. The entire brand is cruelty-free, but you can find all their vegan products on their website.

I use so many of Too Faced’s vegan products, but one of my favorites is their Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I use Milk, but it also comes in Chocolate and Chocolate Gold for different skin tones and preferences. It goes on so smooth, it’s easy to blend, and it’s a gorgeous tone.

The bronzer is available on their website for $30.

Wet N Wild

Wet N Wild is a great brand to shop if you’re looking to buy high-quality vegan products, but you’re not trying to spend next month’s electricity bill. Vegan beauty doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Not all Wet N Wild products are vegan, but all are cruelty-free.

According to the brand, “We believe in beauty without cruelty first! None of our furry, feathery, or scaly friends were harmed in the making of our products. Whether you’re a card-carrying vegetarian who is committed to animal rights (and good for you!), or you just love puppies and bunnies and want them to smile (and who doesn’t?), we are with you! We want that too! In fact, most of our products are not only cruelty-free, but vegan as well.”

They do have a full list of all their vegan products on their website.

One of the best products that Wet N Wild offers is its MegaCushion Foundation SPF 15. This foundation is super smooth and natural-looking. It has buildable coverage and is just an all-around solid makeup to keep you looking flawless.

Here’s a very detailed review of this product, which is what convinced me to try it out:

Unfortunately, the shade range on this product is terrible, but the price is unbeatable.

This foundation is on sale at the time of this writing for $2.99, normally $8.99. Yes, you read that right.

This list would be incomplete without mentioning Tarte. Tarte is another brand with a handy page for shopping vegan products, a feature that makes finding vegan products so much simpler.

One of the best vegan products, from Tarte or anywhere else, is the Shape Tape concealer. This concealer is truly the best concealer I have ever used. It’s full coverage, it doesn’t crease, and it comes in a whole bunch of shades to match every (or almost every) skin tone. Beauty YouTubers have sworn by this stuff for years. Classics are classics for a reason.

Find the concealer on Tarte’s website for $27.
