Sorting through beauty products on Amazon can be a daunting task. It’s often hard to separate the good stuff from the garbage without just biting the bullet and ordering the product and seeing what shows up. Sometimes the reviews on the site are reliable, and sometimes they’re not. After years of trial and error, I’ve figured out some of the best beauty products that Amazon has to offer, and here are the ones that will never fail you.
Base
If I had to pick one makeup product I absolutely could not live without, it would be the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Multi-Use Concealer ($7.97). This stuff is unbeatable when it comes to natural-looking coverage. It will disguise sleepless nights, hangovers, breakouts, and anything else you don’t want people to see on your face. The applicator is a little sponge, so in a pinch, you can blend it without any additional brushes or tools. It only comes in 18 shades, which admittedly is not a fantastic shade range, but if you can find a match, this stuff is a lifesaver.
The Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation ($10.59) is perfect for those no-makeup makeup days. It’s perfect for when you want a little bit of coverage without doing a full face of products. This stuff is great for sensitive skin, but it works for all skin types. It’s fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and it feels super lightweight on the skin. For my everyday makeup routine, I use this on top of the Maybelline concealer. It’s quick, easy, and looks flawless every time.
If you’re looking for an affordable and versatile blush look no further than the Maybelline Fit Me Blush ($4.44). My favorite shade is ‘rose’, but there are plenty available to choose from. I love this blush because it can be super subtle but it can also be built up to pack a punch. It’s super smooth and it blends out easily, making it a great buy for the price.
To finish off the perfect base, there is nothing better than the NYX Professional Makeup Make Up Setting Spray Dewy Finish ($6.89). If you have issues with your makeup looking cakey, this stuff will seriously help. Just a few quick sprays of this will finish everything off and make your makeup settle seamlessly into your skin. This setting spray also makes everything on your face last a little longer, even when you’re on the go.
Eyes
Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow ($24.00) is a little bit pricey for a single eyeshadow product, but it’s worth every penny. This stuff is amazing. Just a few swipes on the lid will give the most opaque glitter coverage you’ve ever seen with absolutely no mess. This Stila eyeshadow is the easiest way to get a full glam look that’s Instagram worthy and perfect for a night out, you know, when we can do that again.
L’Oreal Paris Makeup Telescopic Original Lengthening Mascara ($16.86 for a pack of 2) will make your lashes look fake without all the glue and the struggles that false lashes bring. While not technically waterproof, this stuff doesn’t budge. It’s also good for sensitive eyes and never irritates.
Extras
One last beauty product from Amazon that I cannot live without is the OPI Nail Lacquer in My Vampire is Buff ($10.50). This is the perfect basic neutral nail color. It’s actually on my nails right now. I love this polish because it goes with absolutely every outfit. And since it’s OPI, you know the formula is fantastic. This color is great for us pale skinned girls but also looks amazing on darker skin tones.
