GritDaily: What’s it like at your age being a songwriter and performer?

Ali Morgan: I have been writing for as far back as I can remember, always wanting to perform. So, I haven’t let my age stop me. With each year, I’m learning so much, especially in Nashville. I am surrounded by so many amazing musicians that you can’t help but benefit from that.

GD: How does social media help you share your work with your fans and community?

AM: When it comes to my generation, social media is how we communicate. It’s such an amazing way to reach out to people. I love getting messages from people I don’t know. At the same time, it helps me stay in touch with people I meet out on the road. I always let them know when new music is coming out on my socials. It’s so much fun to witness how receptive they are. That’s been such a fun part of this journey for me!

GD: What would you consider to be your favorite part about being an artist?

AM: The fans! They are the most uplifting people in the world. Their stories, messages, and photos they send me-they inspire me to continue doing what I love.

GD: What advice do you have for others your age who are wanting to break into the music space?

AM: Get out there and start gigging! You need to get comfortable on stage and write as much as possible. I write all the time. That’s my best advice so far!
